LocalBuy
Queensland
In 2008, Shortly after its launch into the Queensland market, Generation-e was successfully selected for Queensland government's LocalBuy. LocalBuy, a commercial entity wholly owned by the Local Government Association of Queensland Inc., was established in 2001 to provide comprehensive, value adding procurement services to Queensland local government.
LocalBuy’s imperative is to broker contractual arrangements aggregating the demand for goods and services to achieve better pricing and conditions, and eliminating the need for Queensland councils to establish their own supply contracts. Generation-e was a successful tenderer for the LocalBuy Information & Communication Technology Contract. The suppliers appointed to this tender had to demonstrate skills and experience in their chosen subcategories, as well as complying with public liability insurance, professional indemnity insurance, history of track record with government related entities and operating capacity. Tenders were evaluated with a combination of Local Buy procurement professionals and subject matter experts from Queensland Local Government.
Generation-e is authorised to provide IT hardware, ICT network collaboration & integration, ICT infrastructure consolidation, and ICT network services. Generation-e has continued to supply Queensland councils with the benefit of its expertise in unified communications, networks, platforms & management as well as services.
