About the NOC

Generation-e’s network operations centre goes beyond helpdesk support with our proactive monitoring service.  We monitor your network regardless of brand and inform you of potential problems before they arise.  This is a standard service enjoyed by our block support customers (B-Serv, F-Serv, Outsourced Engineer, M-Serv).  Unlike other suppliers who charge heftily for a monitoring service, the Generation-e NOC is absolutely free.

How it works

The Generation-e monitoring service (GEMS) is a fully automated reporting tool that monitors critical components of your IT infrastructure in 15-minute intervals.  It checks disc space, server performance, anti-virus protection, mail servers, websites and firewalls.

Our monitoring commonly detects problems such as:

  • Servers- impending failure or low disc space
  • Firewalls- potential security breaches
  • Routers- irregular activity

Once we detect that a problem is about to occur, we investigate and actively take preventative measures to ensure business continuity. We then raise a case informing you that it requires your attention and what costs are involved in rectifying it.

The NOC operates 24/7.  So that your organisation does too.
