Generation-e Gets Global Recognition

Microsoft Australian Communications Partner of the Year Wins Multiple Awards at Microsoft WPC

Melbourne, Australia, August 8

Generation-e, Gold partner and leader in unified communications, was once again honoured at the 2013 Microsoft World Partner Conference (WPC) in Houston, Texas with three prestigious awards, in recognition of its overachievement.

For the second year in a row, Generation-e has been awarded the "2013 Microsoft Asia Pacific Platinum Club- Solutions Partner".  This underscores recognition from Microsoft that the integrator has not just achieved on its targets but actually exceeded them.

According to Generation-e’s Managing Director, Biagio LaRosa, "Over the last 12 months we deployed around 130,000 Lync seats- many of those with federal government departments.  We estimate that’s a magnitude of at least four times greater than any other Australian partner.

"The numbers tell the story.  One month into FY14 and already we have tallied 13,500 enterprise voice seats," announced LaRosa.

Indeed with cornerstone customers such as the Attorney General’s Office, Virgin Australia and Bell Potter, Generation-e has demonstrated its frim footing with enterprise voice deployments and as the market continues to rally with the adoption of productivity solutions, Generation-e considers itself to be well-positioned as the partner of choice.

The award brings with it the opportunity to contribute to the Microsoft community at large through participation in Microsoft’s Asia Pac Leadership Forum.  Last year Generation-e attended the forum along with a select group of around 40 partners from across the Asia Pac region who provided significant input that helped steer Microsoft’s partner program.

Significant in the award is the "Solutions" category, conferred across the Microsoft stack not just one technology stream, which brings the "integration" strength of the company into sharp focus.

Further recognition for Generation-e’s outstanding work was bestowed on the Generation-e team in Houston when the trophy for "2013 Microsoft Asia Pacific Partner of the Year- APAC Pre-sales Specialist of the Year" was personally handed to them by Pip Marlow, Managing Director of Microsoft Australia.

Nathan Chapman, Generation-e’s CTO stated, "As an integrator we are the vital glue that holds everything together.  We must source the right combination of technologies and create the scope that aligns perfectly to business goals.  This careful detail and documentation is what success hinges on and that’s where Generation-e has really distinguished itself."

The third and final accolade awarded at the same conference was the global "HP and Microsoft Outstanding Partner 2013" award.  Generation-e won in the Unified Communications category, showcasing the company’s deep and broad expertise across the open collaboration network.

"This is all about collaboration.  We are delighted that Microsoft has recognised the fruits of our hard-working team and more importantly, that our valued customers have placed their trust in our expertise," LaRosa concluded.

The company plans to continue to build on its success, delivering the best-architected solutions and the highest business value to customers.
