We require another experienced AV Commissioner to join our growing team to lead project commissioning and service. Due to company growth, we are currently recruiting for more AV Commissioner and Service Technicians to facilitate and maintain high levels of customer care. The position requires a combination of technical knowledge, reporting, and client relationship skills.

You will ideally be an experienced with AV commissioning with a strong track record of success trouble-shooting and commissioning high-end commercial integrated Audio Visual systems. A background as an AV service technician would also be favourable, given the high level of trouble-shooting skills required. You will need an excellent understanding of AV technologies utilised in a modern business setting and how these integrate to create solutions that improve business performance- including serial communication and Ethernet networks. Experience of training end-users on newly installed systems, as well as writing manuals and servicing documents would be an advantage.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Testing, commissioning and support of integrated AV systems
  • Work alongside systems designers, installers and technical sales
  • Final delivery of projects to better client expectations
  • Pre-installation testing, and post-installation commissioning
  • Liaise with clients and project stakeholders
  • Provide systems training to end-user clients
  • Help create system manuals
  • Provide on-going support to clients on installed systems
  • Keep up to date with continued development with regular vendor training
  • Providing onsite service maintenance and fault finding
  • Provide technical liaison with clients, engineering and project departments regarding recommended system modifications, design and upgrades where necessary
  • Provide timely and accurate documentation on all service works performed, including client initiated callouts and preventative service inspections
  • Comprehensive customer relations with the ability to relay highly technical information to any level of customer; coupled with an ability to grow and represent the brand whilst maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Be able to present a strong portfolio of relevant projects/service experience and have proven testing, commissioning and support skills.
  • Be Canberra based but be happy to travel as the role requires on projects with occasional interstate travel.


  • 3+ years in AV systems commissioning and/or service roles
  • Current Australian Security Clearance highly desirable
  • In depth knowledge of audio visual and IP networks
  • Good AV programming experience
  • Solid problem solving skills and an ability to operate and deliver independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Skype for Business, Polycom, PEXIP and Cisco.
  • Working knowledge of analogue and digital electronics, qualifications preferred.
  • Creston, Extron or AMX certification
  • Audio DSP skills desirable. Adjusting and uploading audio DSP files. Biamp, Clearone, BSS, Media Matrix, and QSC. At least one certification preferred.
  • Experience in fault finding, audio visual schematics and digital sound processors
  • A passion for providing high-level technical support and customer service
  • Strong and clear communication skills, both written and verbal
