Microsoft Gold Partners Join Forces
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Melbourne, Australia, November 30, 2015
Generation-e Australia’s leading provider of Microsoft unified communications has closed its acquisition of Paradyne, Australia’s leading provider of Cloud Consulting services. CEO’s Biagio La Rosa of Generation-e and Loryan Strant of Paradyne completed negotiations and signed the deal effective December 1st 2015.
With this acquisition, Generation-e further solidifies its position as one of the market’s top services providers and, indeed, one of the largest pure-play providers serving the entire market.
The synergies of the two companies are remarkably strong. Both Microsoft Gold Certified partners and frequent winners of Microsoft Partner Awards; CRN Fast 50 winners; and Telstra’s partner of the year. While Generation-e delivers services nationally the shared focus on Melbourne and Sydney will provide a stronger foothold in these markets. Post-closing, Generation-e will have approximately 1,000 clients including federal government departments, ASX 200 companies, universities and a broad range of public and private sector organizations.
“This is a great opportunity for both organizations to leverage synergies from this acquisition and address customer needs. By focusing on services and continuing high customer touch, this acquisition positions Generation-e for further growth,” said Biagio La Rosa, CEO of Generation-e. “Paradyne has one of the largest installed based on Office365 in Australia so with Microsoft about to launch Cloud PBX we now have potential to offer our combined services to both existing and new customers in mid-market and enterprise,” said La Rosa.
Indeed, the customer experience is considered the new competitive battleground and the greatest disruptor to business. For companies to thrive they must reinvent themselves as customer-centric providers. Systems integrators are no different and value-adding and scaling their customer relationships through breadth of services and depth of expertise is essential for recurring revenues and sustained growth. Generation-e was motivated to rethink how technology and services can help its customers in the same vein. “Today, the competitive threats being levied on our customers are mounting. They must constantly address their productivity concerns so their IT demands go beyond UC. By combining cloud offerings including Microsoft Azure, Office 365 and Enterprise Mobility Suite with collaboration and connectivity solutions from Microsoft (Skype for Business), one Microsoft partner can effectively deliver to any E5 license,” said La Rosa.
Paradyne was the first company in the world to achieve Microsoft’s Cloud Accelerate Competency, given to partners who have demonstrated deep capability and commitment to the cloud. “The acquisition by Generation-e highlights the strength of the Paradyne business and recognizes our born in the cloud heritage. It is another important step toward Paradyne’s goals as we continue our focus on making sure all customers are ‘raving fans’”, said Strant, CEO of Paradyne.
Paradyne also boasts an established change management practice. Once IT infrastructure is in the cloud, an engineer’s migration job is done. But as Microsoft continues to add more features, then user adoption becomes a new KPI for business productivity.
In a short transition all Paradyne staff will move to Generation-e effective immediately. All contact details stay the same- Paradyne’s customers either with or without a contract will be serviced by a much larger support network. This includes access to what now has become an impressive concentration of certified professional, namely four Microsoft Certified Masters and three Microsoft MVP’s.
“By bringing together the best of breed in productivity and cloud, we will be able to reach our goal of 1 Million active users by 2016,” said La Rosa.
Strant will assume the title of CTO-Cloud, reporting directly to Biagio La Rosa and will join Generation-e’s Senior Leadership Team. The combined team will work to deliver customer service excellence customers and present the most promising opportunities for employees.
